That's how many follies I have right now all measuring over 10mm. FML.
Of course doing an IUI with six is a little risky, but twelve? Totally out of the question. So, the new plan is to stop the follistim injections and continue with the ganirelix injections for the next couple mornings. Our hope is that the ganirelix will a) keep me from ovulating and b) get rid of some of those follies. I go back in on Wednesday for another u/s, and we'll go from there.
There's really 3 scenarios that could play out..
1) The ganirelix works and we're able to do an IUI on Thursday or Friday
2) The ganirelix doesn't work, and we convert to IVF
3) The ganirelix doesn't work & we scrap this cycle
My RE definitely thinks we should move on to IVF if this cycle doesn't work out. I guess on the bright side he thinks I'll do great with IVF. The down side?.. does anyone have about $10,000 I can have? Pretty pretty please with a cherry on top?
